Artist’s Notes:

More exploration rethinking old work. Pieces like this give me so much joy because I never know if some ideas will translate in reality…I think this did. I shedded a previous work as both the support and the work and mounted it on wooden board. The piece sits in a branded wooden frame designed to hold numerous other works for the purpose of presentation and also a bit like a viewfinder. The frame is inspired by modular design and helps give my work a sense of being a product similar to how trainers might be sold in a similar sized box or similar to the name of an artist on the spine of their latest coffee table book, with their work on the cover. It is also a subtle questioning of how art and design are presented and the value placed on both. This is some of my worst work reframed and I am now, currently, happy with it.
