Artist’s Notes:

Seal Of Approval was the first sewn collage I did in 2026 and was a return to my artistic practice after a 9 month period working in China. Working from my studio in the Peak District, I spent a long time reviewing old work that needed the love breathing back into it…there was a lot of it! It was so great to get the sewing machine back out again after such a long time away from my art practice. I wanted to finish the work off with a Seal of Approval and the ‘Flywheel’ logo, that I adopt when working with clothing concepts, seemed apt and further helps explore the lines between my art practice and design career.
